From tragedy comes a blessing...

Unless you live in a place with no tvs, newspapers or computers, you are well aware of the recent tragedies which have come to light regarding lgbtq teens committing suicide as a result of bullying simply because they are gay. These tragedies happen every single day and have been happening long before the media brought attention to it.

So for me as a LGBT life coach, it's a moment of awakening. I am witnessing straight allies and the lgbtq community come together to pay respect and finally talk OPENLY about this epidemic.

From this tragedy comes a blessing. And by that I mean, the dialog which has now begun not only within the lgbtq community, but among our straight allies as well. This is reaching those that thought it didn't affect them. It does. When a teenager transitions (dies) as a result of bullying due to ignorance and hate, it affects us ALL!

These kids did not transition (die) in vein. There is much work to be done to heal our community and much work to be done to spread the word about zero tolerance of bullying worldwide. These kids carried a weight on their shoulders too much to bear. But, we will NOT let their legacy be forgotten once the media moves on to the next story.

A movement has already begun to save lives, to create a safe haven for these kids and straight allies/mentors who want to get involved and it's called, "I'm Gay, Now What" -- www.imgaynowwhat.com

If you are a lgbtq teen/young adult in crisis, help is here. Support is here. This project is a labor of LOVE on the parts of myself, Dawn, The Self Esteem Queen and the founders of Studology 101 and Femmeology 101. Please help us spread the word. Please ask your schools, colleges, local lgbtq offices and chambers to bring us to YOUR city to speak to the masses. WE are taking this worldwide.

We need your help in making this viral.

For every person who reads this message, all I ask is THREE things of you:
  • Post the link: www.imgaynowwhat.com on your facebook and other social network sites
  • If  you are a teen/young adult or know one in crisis, sign up TODAY for the website (it is safe and you have support)
  • Help us  make this movement VIRAL (if you can re-post funny videos, chain letters, and random pics all day, you can surely take 2 minutes out of your day to do something POSITIVE --> it may be the difference between saving a life or burying one)

THANK YOU!

Peace and Blessings,
Coach Kerri
